If your premises has manual call points as part of its fire alarm system, it is important to test them on a weekly basis.
In most cases, one call point can be tested each week, working through them all on a rotation.
It is important to carry out these tests as it ensures that all call points are working correctly, meaning that in an emergency someone would be able to raise the alarm.
If, when you test a call point, it doesn’t work, or shows a fault on the panel, you know that something needs fixing and can contact your service or maintenance company.
