Frequently Asked Questions

We deliver many different types of Health & Safety courses; First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, First Aid for Mental Health, Fire Warden, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness to name but a few.

We run Open courses regularly at our training room in Nantwich. Please see our “Open Courses” page for details of the courses we have scheduled.

However, if you prefer us to deliver training at your premises on a date of your choosing, we can happily arrange that for you. More details can be found in our “On- site course” page.

We allow a maximum of 12 candidates per trainer on our courses.

For awareness sessions we allow more people to attend.

Comfortable clothing, appropriate for the practical elements of the course; skirts and dresses are not recommended.

We can adapt the practical elements for you. However, if you are doing a regulated course the HSE require that we observe you undertaking full CPR on the floor. If you are unable to do this, we will need to issue a modified certificate which will exclude the practical elements of the course

To book a group course at a time and place to suit you, please take a look at our “On-site Courses” page. Please don’t hesitate to contact one of our office managers will make all of the necessary arrangements for you, once confirmed invoicing will occur.

Whilst lunch is not provided, tea, coffee and cold drinks are included along with biscuits and sweets.

On full day courses a bowl of fruit is also provided on each table.

We are lucky to have numerous places nearby where food can be picked up for lunchtime- Sainsbury’s is just along the road, and there’s a burger van just round the corner, outside B&M. There is a lovely cafe on Prince’s Court, at morning break-time we can phone through any orders you would like to place so that they are ready for collection when we stop for our lunch break.

If you would rather bring your own packed lunch, you’re more than welcome to place it in our fridge when you arrive.

With the exception of Asbestos Awareness , certificates are valid for 3 years.

With regards to First Aid, the HSE recommends attending regular update sessions to ensure that skills are kept up to date.

At Ensure we acknowledge the importance of facilitating the opportunity for First Aiders to keep their skills up to speed. To this end, we offer all candidates that have attended First Aid courses delivered by us a COMPLIMENTARY PLACE one of our 3 hour Up-date sessions. Please visit our “On-site course” page for more information regarding these sessions.

It must be noted that these up-date sessions DO NOT replace the need to attend a re-qualification course as your certificate expires.
