Three years is a long time to remember vital skills that could potentially save a life.
These sessions provide your first aiders with a recap and the opportunity to practise the skills they have previously learnt.
Attending an annual update is strongly recommended by the HSE.
Topics covered include:
- Assessing the situation in an emergency, administering first aid to a casualty who: is unconscious (including seizures), is wounded/ bleeding, is in shock, accident reporting, first aid kits and avoiding contamination and choking.
