Yesterday we welcomed our neighbouring businesses at Prince’s Court to our training room.
We’ve recently had a public access defibrillator installed on site.
Whilst no training is required for someone to use a public access defibrillator, people can sometimes lack confidence and have a fear of using the equipment if they have no prior knowledge.
So, we invited all of the businesses on Prince’s Court to come over yesterday and attend a complimentary defibrillator awareness session.
During the session we covered:
-The primary survey
-Delivering CPR to an adult and a child
-Using a public access defibrillator on an adult and child
-The recovery position
At the end of the session everyone was invited to practice what they’d learnt using our mannequins and training defibrillators.
We hope that no-one will ever need to use the site defib. However, should they ever have to, we hope that after today’s session they have a greater confidence to do so.
